…there are big pine cones! They have opened right up to drop their seeds. I thought the forest wouldn’t mind if I stole one to take home and draw. It was a lovely afternoon’s walk and nice shade from the still hot Andalucian sun.

Very nice drawing and the photos are quite interesting. A basket of pine cones set put on a table for decoration is nice too.

The locals round here collect huge sackfuls of them for fuel. I love the scent of pinewoods.
