The little bridge

Image

Pencil drawing of the little bridge that forges the river García Bravo. This bridge was recently restored and used to be the main way into Jimena from the Algeciras-Ronda road. I didn’t know the name of this smaller river but whilst I was sketching an old chap stopped to see what I was doing so I asked him, and he also told me it used to be the main road into Jimena. I had hoped to get down the bottom nearer the river but one side was fenced off and the other side would have been a scramble through the undergrowth and I wasn’t suitably attired (as per usual…)

  1. I’m not sure how I found your blog, but I absolutely love your drawings. I lived in Spain when I was a child, so these tickle my memories, especially the dancers…beautiful.
